When did you first feel baby if you had a posterior placenta?

Just curious ☺️

I have a posterior placenta and I am 17+1. I haven’t felt anything yet but I’m so excited to.

If you had a posterior placenta, when did you first feel something? What did it feel like and where did you feel it?

I'm 24+5 now, FTM, posterior placenta and I felt definite movements around 18/19 weeks. I don't think it was everyday at first but I knew it was baby for sure. From around 20 weeks I could feel her each day.

I had a posterior placenta, first time mum, and still didn't feel any movement until about 23/24 weeks!

Everyone kept suggesting I'd feel it sooner because of placenta position and being petite, but that didn't happen 😂

It was at about 20 weeks, and it felt like a poke but from the inside out. Very definite, the feeling stopped me in my tracks. I didn’t have the ‘bubbles’ or ‘fish moving’ etc sensations, mine were like a poking at first and below my belly button. After that she didn’t stop moving until, well, she hasn’t stopped yet! 😂

16 for the “oooh baby or gas?” feelings and then 18 weeks for definite baby movements.

I’m currently 21 weeks. I thought I felt something towards the end of week 16. Just like little bubbles, but different to gas! Then in week 17 started to get little flutters when laid on my side.

I feel the last couple of weeks I can feel
proper little kicks 🥹 honestly magical. Still sporadic and mostly when I’m still - so definitely more noticeable on my day off vs when I’m at work, and in the evenings/when I’m laid in bed.

Thanks all! Almost 18 now and still don’t think I’ve felt anything. Fingers crossed it is soon 😊

I have a posterior placenta and this is my second pregnancy. I have been having movements since probably 17 weeks. Very light at first, but am 26 weeks now and have strong kicks regularly each day!

Posterior placenta as a first time mom - around 16 weeks
Anterior placenta as a second time mom - around 15/16 weeks

Posterior placenta, first pregnancy, felt a distinct kick at 17 weeks and when I put my hand on my tummy I could feel it again from the outside! Good luck OP - it’s such a magical time! Wishing you movements soon.

Probably from about 22 weeks. 3rd time round here but both previous had anterior placentas!

Back to report again! Still not sure if I have felt baby yet but there has been moments where I’ve thought hmmmm was that something or was that just my stomach? I’m 19+4 now.
