Safe to play badminton in early pregnancy?

I feel a bit silly asking this but I had a loss over the summer so I’m being extra cautious. I used to play badminton years ago and had just started playing again last week and then found out I’m pregnant. It’s very relaxed, just a group of us playing more for fun than anything not competitively. I don’t think of badminton as particularly intense or a contact sport so I’m assuming I’m fine to continue playing?

Unless you are having a high risk pregnancy (in which case it’s worth double checking) you’ll be fine. FWIW I played paddle when I was 10 weeks pregnant and fell over, everything was absolutely fine. They are well cushioned in there!

@vitalityvix thank you! Aside from one miscarriage I don’t think I have any other risk factors as far as I know anyway!

Nope. The baby will come out with a shuttlecock on its head if you do.
