8 months pregnant - zero motivation

33 weeks pregnant. I also have an 8 & 5 year old.

I’ve been quite useful up until the last couple of weeks. I’ve gone through every drawer, cupboard, toy in kids room sorting/throwing things, painted a couple of rooms etc.

The last couple of weeks, I just haven’t given a shit. I’m keeping the house borderline tidy but on the
whole just sleeping and doing bugger all.

How does one get their motivation back, or is this just normal for 8 months?

Normal now

I’m 36 weeks and very jealous, I’d be doing exactly the same if I didn’t also have a toddler.

Enjoy the peace and down time!

Im 35 weeks pregnant and im literally at this point majority of the time a couch or bed potato.
I spend majority if my time napping and when i do find the energy i try to do some bits.
I started the nursery very early (around 22 weeks was finished by 26 weeks because i didnt want to be doing it while heavily pregnant and tired)
Glad i did everything sooner as now im on maternity leave i can just relax, maybe wash a couple of baby clothes and pack my hospital bag granted i have the energy.

Its so normal to feel how you do, it doesnt get better🤣

I’m glad it’s somewhat normal!
I don’t recall being this useless in previous
pregnancies but perhaps I was!!

@LER2023I’m also glad I did all the painting and sorting etc a couple of months ago because no way would any of it happen now!!

Fed up of feeling like a massive, lazy whale though 🤣

I'm 33 weeks and feeling the same. So sleepy and I want to hole up in the house until baby comes!

I feel exactly the same at 35 weeks OP. Everything already feels like a lot of effort.

I also have a toddler, work full time and am commuting three days a week. I am struggling to focus, be interested in much outside myself (which I hate…!) and am very, very tired (and sleeping badly).

The second trimester was when I got stuff done.
