Post-partum care

Hello

So I'm on the Boots website to start my post-partum purchasing. What do I actually need?!

There's witch hazel sprays, foams and pads (I'd have thought one witch hazel product would be enough?), padsicles and pads and giant pants. Surely I don't need ALL of those? Or do I?

I just had the witch hazel pads but I didn't find them that useful tbh. Lots of pads and disposable pants though. Peri bottle. Breast pads too, you'll leak, even if you're not planning on breastfeeding.

Also STOOL SOFTENER. The first bowel movement is terrifying and you do not want to be straining at all.

I bought some cloth pads and reusable breast pads. I didn't need anything else

Ah yes, of course, breast pads! Thanks ladies

Great big water bottle if you're bf.
I also didn't use any of the witchhazel stuff, just some cotton pads and reusable breastpads. Also a milk catcher for one side while the other was being used.

If you are breastfeeding, I found Lansinoh nipple cream very useful for dealing with sore/chewed up nipples in the first weeks!
