I bought different types of flowers from the stores to create bouquets. I Ran them under water with hands cleaning the stems pulled leaves and arranged for 40+ mins for fun. I’ve done this twice pregnant. Now I’m reading they are sourced from Colombia and are sprayed heavily with pesticides and insecticides even with banned sprays since it is not food it’s not regulated. Well now I’m worried I am just now 5 weeks and so nervous. Have any of you guys handled flowers pregnant that were not local/ backyard? Or have thoughts? My main worry is future affects (birth defects, increase in childhood leukemia) that seems to be a concern with maternal exposure in pregnancy. Help please I feel awful

If you've washed your hands after and run the flowers under water I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Just take a break from flower arranging, as per the advice on your other thread here

I couldn’t find this first post so mistakenly thought it didn’t post. Thank you I do plan to not do this again! Just started to fear I caused harm
