Health visitor not turned up for appointment?

Hi everyone.

Bit of a strange question.

I had an apppointment today for the HV to come to my house, it was booked in for 9am, and states on the letter it can be an hour before or an hour after, dont always expect it to be 9am on the dot. Fair enough, they're relatively busy.

However its now 10.30 and im still waiting for this health visitor to turn up.

I feel a little peaved as im not sleeping too great at night and try to lie in as much as i can while im off work. Ive been up since 530 this morning (body clock has decided to wake me up at this time, i usually try and go back to sleep)

Im flagging and feel like i need a nap now😅 but im conscious that i'll have a nap and they will turn up.

Has anyone had an 'all day appointment' that wasnt meant to be an all day appointment? Or have they just not turned up at all and then rearranged?

Ive had no contact at all from them. Its a good job im not at work because this will have wasted my time and my OH's time if he managed to get out of work for it.
I dont want to refuse entry for them, but i feel like i cant do anything😅

Has anyone had experience with them? What do i do?

I’d give it until 12 and then give them a call

I had similar! Was given an appointment time of between 9 and 12pm. She didn’t show up then, and casually rocked up at 2:45! I work in the community for the NHS so know things can run over, but I was surprised about the lack of contact to let me know they were running so behind. They also hadn’t provided a phone number for me to contact them so I couldn’t call them to find out what was going on!

Yes, they've not provided me with anything at all.

Im a little peeved by it to be honest!

I understand everyone in the NHS are snowed under and its a struggle right now, but id like to know whats happening!🙃

They’re still as unreliable as ever then!! Worst part is if you hadn’t been home they’d give you a good telling off.

I'd give another half hour then just go for a sleep or go out and chalk it up to a no show. If she turns up and you're free, great, if not, that's a her problem. 8

Go for a nice nap OP. If they show up then maybe you'll hear the doorbell. It did say an hour either side of 9am which has now passed.
