People commenting on bump

I’m sure this has been done to death, but it drives me absolutely mental when people comment on my bump.

To be fair, no one has said anything horrible this time. Previous pregnancies received ‘Omgod your massive’ etc.

I just hate the school run. So many people come over to say ‘your bump has really popped out now’, ‘you’re looking very pregnant’, ‘can I touch it’.

I dread the school run for this reason and I try and wear baggy clothes because it makes me really self conscious and I don’t want to be commented
on. I didn’t really mine in my first 2 pregnancies, but it really pisses me off now. Like why am I on display and open for comments?!

Oh well..8 more weeks.

I think you'll always have those people who say stuff like that.
Ive got just over 5 weeks left, its my first after 3 miscarriages and people have always commented on my bump since i started getting a bump, it was 'are you sure theres not twins in there?' 'You are massive!!' And now its 'wow you've dropped so much!' 'He's going to be here in the next couple of weeks'

Its just human nature. Its how people tend to react to pregnant people.

For me its the touching.. when people touch my bump uninvited. It really pisses me off, they just start petting me like a dog and it winds me up🤣

I also work in a hospital and all ive heard is 'when hes born you need to bring him in straight away'
And when i say no, it will be in the new year after hes had his needles. I always get told im being too protective.

Hes going to be a november baby. Its cold and flu season. Id rather be safe than sorry and have to spend so much time in the hospital where i work because people have decided i need to bring him in before its safe to.

You've only got 8 weeks left. You've had 2 previous pregnancies. You can do this!

Be extremely boundaried. I got so tired of one senior colleague in another department lunging at my bump that I once smacked her outstretched hand away in the lift. No one came near me again.

hahaha that’s hilarious.

To be fair, everyone does ask if they can touch my tummy. I haven’t been lunged at yet!!

I’m one of those people pleasers so I put on a fake smile and let them touch it, and afterwards I’m like Yuk!!

Haha love this! I was going to comment "punch them if they touch you" but I like your version

You could start commenting back to people 😂 "Oh your bump is massive now".... reply "Oh so is yours, Mary. Few too many biccies?"

Same here. Constantly get 'are you sure there's just one in there' (very unoriginal). It used to irk me but now I'm grateful there's no concerns about baby's growth.
I think people are used to seeing cute earlier pregnancy bumps and forget how big pregnant bellies actually get get. It's the novelty factor.
Be proud you're managing to carry on about your daily activities whilst lugging an extra human about!
