I wouldn't personally eat a normal carbonara in which the eggs weren't necessarily fully cooked, but others would.

Thanks they are saying they are cooked on the website and suitable for pregnancy

Oh sorry I thought it was a recipe you make yourself.

Cooked and raw eggs are fine! The Nhs info about what ro eat in pregnancy also explains this

Amylittlelegs · 07/10/2025 17:58

Ok so you think I be ok?

Yes! Have a look at the NHS website to set your mind at rest but there's no reason to worry about this at all. Even the NHS food guidance rules are very very cautious and the risk of anything happening if you ate something deemed high risk like soft cheese or raw fish is very low anyway

Thanks for help

I has their carbonara almost every day for a week when I was 7 weeks pregnant as it was a craving. Am 13 weeks and baby is fine. Also the egg is definitely cooked in it and they add cream so it’s not as authentic as a traditional Roman recipe.
