Pregnant straight after miscarriage with no period

I didn’t know where else to brain dump and wondered if anyone else had experienced this and can offer any advice on next steps?

I miscarried a blighted ovum 4 weeks ago at around 9 weeks pregnant and i had a negative test 12th Sep. Pretty sure my body went into overdrive and ovulated straight away as we only DTD once 🙈

I have taken a test Sunday and today and the lines got darker so I’m pretty convinced this is a new pregnancy.

Do I just need to call EPAS unit? I have to self refer for my pregnancies but my last period was technically July so that would mess things up on their system I suspect.

Slightly nervous and trying to not get my hopes up because of before.

Any help advice would be greatly appreciated 😊

Hello, I had a miscarriage in December and conceived again without period. I didn't take a test until mid Feb. I phoned the EPU to ask about early scans and progesterone - they offer early scans after a miscarriage and I had them in the pregnancy I lost in December after a previous miscarriage.
They got me in for a hcg blood test later that week to estimate how pregnant I was and when would be a good time to do a scan. That came back at over 100k so they scanned me the next day and I have 8+3. They prescribed progesterone which I stayed on until 16 weeks, baby is now 4 weeks old!
My midwife created a fake lmp based on the date of this scan had I not had this scan she would have used the date of my miscarriage until the dating scan for estimating my due date.

Thank you for responding @Superscientist😊

Congratulations on the birth of your baby!

I’m going to test again Thursday/Friday in the hope it’s got darker and give the EPU a call for advice, hoping they can do my bloods to reassure me a little!

Hi, so sorry you experienced a miscarriage. I had this exact experience - I miscarried in February 2023 and got a positive test the next month without a period in between. I couldn’t believe when I saw the positive test. I phoned the Early Pregnancy unit, who were amazing and supportive and reassured me that it was a new pregnancy. I then got an early scan and they estimated I was 7 weeks. That little blob we saw on the scan is my 22 month old daughter!

I completely understand you not wanting to get your hopes up, I didn’t let myself believe it was true until I was about 38 weeks pregnant! Very best of luck, I’m sure it will be good news!

Thank you and so sorry for your loss, it’s not easy.

I’ve took another test today and it’s gone darker so I’m pretty convinced that I’m pregnant 😅 going to call EPAS today and hopefully get on for some bloods etc.
