Light tests and getting no darker

already posted in conception but thought i would see if anybody here could help

Hello, I know no body can tell me for sure but I’m hoping someone has experienced similar
My last period was 1st September which now makes me 5 weeks pregnant but all the lines on my tests are so faint and aren’t getting any darker😔
I have a scan at EPU on Wednesday but I’m thinking I should prepare for the worst.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!
It’s very early to tell, and all your tests are different sensitivities so they will all be different shades. Also 5w is very early for dark tests - HCG doubles every 48h or so and at 5w you’d only just start seeing any positives. Good luck

I have a really faint batch of the one step tests that I purchased from Amazon recently. They freaked me out but I also took some FRERs which looked much darker so hopefully you got the same dodgy batch? Your clear blue tests look ok?

Hi OP, I would stop testing with different brands because each test will have different sensitivity.
i know it's hard but all you can do now is wait for the scan and kindly step away from the tests. God luck x

@MeEspresso, hi thank you for your reply! I defiantly need to stop testing and wait. I have a scan appointment tomorrow as will need to take medication if pregnancy in right place so should tell me more, thank you x

I’m going through exact same thing I swear I have spent over £100 on tests and I only found out on the 26th of September , went for my bloods last week hcg rises from 423 to 1122 which they said was good had a scan today seen a sac but no york etc, back again in a week anyways I was reading so much of people having dye stealers etc and thinking why ain’t I? This was my last tests which was yesterday and it’s token me a week + to have them this dark. Finally got my 3+ yesterday night to. My tests seem darker in the PM, my advice is try not to use different brands, stick to same ones and try not to compare to other peoples as I have drove myself nuts 😂 strip tests are not good for me , good luck hun❤️

@lineeyesqueen212good morning thank you so much for telling about your experience but I’m so sorry that your going through this too!
that sounds promising if your HCG is rising and a sac was visible. I bet your glad to finally have some dark lines! My clear blue was really strong so I’m taking that a positive.
I’ve stepped away from the tests for now I’ve got a scan today at 12.20 so will see what comes from that🤞🏻

Awww @Patty25 I’m wishing you all the best keep me updated to! Fingers crossed for you, I thought it was positive sign to but then I’ve read about ‘blighted ovum ‘ internet is bad haha xx

@lineeyesqueen212sadly nothing could be seen on the scan apart from a thickened uterus lining had bloods done and repeat on Friday but I just know it’s bad news I should be 5+2 today and with my little girl I at least seen a sac at this stage.
I have my fingers crossed you have a better outcome❤️
