Progesterone pessary and bleeding

Hi everyone. I had a scan today at 6 weeks and saw a fetal pole with heartbeat along with a tiny hematoma they wasn’t worried about. But because I have had bleeding in this pregnancy and prev losses they gave me progesterone pessaries. About 2 hours after inserting the first one I started spotting. Now it’s about 7 hours later and the spotting has picked up a little. Darker red in colour. I did ring EPAU who said it’s fine but I’m looking for others experiences now. It’s very triggering.

Did you have an internal scan? I had quite a bit of spotting after internals.

Are you taking it vaginally? I found they irritated my cervix - I bleed after my smears etc. I take them rectally. Xx

Nope. Was external x

The one that made me bleed was vaginally. I’ve taken the next 2 rectally I was too scared to do it again. It’s all stopped now x
