TMI PHOTO INCLUDED. Is this normal pregnancy discharge?

I feel a bit embarrassed posting this but I really want the opinion of other ladies who are or have been pregnant.

I am currently 16 weeks and keep getting this yellow discharge. I had a swab at the GP for thrush which came back clear.

This is my first pregnancy and I’m not sure what is normal or not. Has anybody had similar ?

I had a lot, really a lot, of yellowish discharge throughout both pregnancies but none outside. So yes I’d say normal.

I'd maybe mention to your midwife. I had similar and swabs were negative but I have a cervical scan done every 4 weeks due to a previous loss and they picked up an infection on that. I'm on antibiotics now and the discharge has disappeared! But then apparently yellow/cream discharge can also be normal in pregnancy so it's hard to know what to do isn't it 😫 definitely check with your midwife, she may be more helpful than GP. Good luck

Always check with the midwife but I had so much discharge during pregnancy that I had to wear liners every day. Later in the pregnancy I even went to a&e thinking that I was leaking amniotic fluid because it got so bad that it dribbled down my leg when I stood up. Nope, just discharge. I guess it’s our body’s way of keeping it clean and infection free 😊 I never had a UTI or thrush during pregnancy either so maybe it was a positive?!

My vitimins made mine a yellow colour, I was on pregnancy care Max xxx

Hi - apologies for writing on an old post, did you ever find out if it was normal or not?

I'm currently 8+3 and have yellow discharge. I didn’t have this in my previous pregnancy so unsure if it’s normal

Hi @Clueless13 I am currently 35 weeks and have had yellow discharge come and go the whole pregnancy, really ramping up in the third trimester. I have had multiple vaginal swabs and all have been fine, as well as showing the midwives photos, so it is just normal for me.
