**TMI**Mucus plug? Is labor near or will it just regenerate?

Just turned 35 weeks pregnant yesterday and been confirmed at my last 3 midwife appointments that she’s measuring 2.5 weeks ahead. I’ve been having on and off cramping in the lower abdomen and lower back for the past 2-3 days, but I do however have PGP/SPD so I’ve been putting the pain down to that.

I’ve just gone to the loo and had this when I wiped (see images). I’ve had very small amounts of jelly like discharge on and off for a few weeks and I know the mucus plug regenerates, but this is the most over ever had come out at once. I can’t really tell if it’s tinged with a different colour or not? I could do with some opinions/advice 🤔

Hi @TheDaringLilacGuide I lost mine on Thursday. It was a bit more than yours but definitely similar in colour. Ive had nothing happen since and google says something might happen in hours, days or weeks so I'm none the wiser. Im 38 weeks, 3 days so a bit further on than you but still in the same limbo x

I lost mine 6 days ago (a lot more than in your pictures) and absolutely nothing else happened since…

I lost mine at 35 weeks, went to 40+ with 3 sweeps before I went into labour! I don’t think it a clear sign of meaning anything

It’s hard to tell. Mine went at 38+5 and she came 4hrs later. It sounds like you’re having Braxton Hicks, has your midwife said anything? Good luck 🍀

I’ve been cramping for 2 weeks now and loosing my mucus plug for a week and still no baby. I’m 38+2 but also measuring about 1-2w ahead.
Mucus plug is huge and having small chunks come out doesn’t indicate anything unfortunately.

I lost a small amount of my plug on a monday evening. Then another small amount at 5.30am on the Tuesday morning.
Waters broke 30mins later and contractions were immediate. Baby was born less than 1 hour later.
There was I thinking I had loads of time but baby decided otherwise!
Everyone is different though!

Mine has never meant anything until it has blood in it. Might be Braxton Hicks causing the pain.
Best to ring the midwife for advice if you're not sure and get checked out in person.

Has anyone had a streak of blood in theirs? I have had the smallest bit come away, with some blood. Unsure whether to call triage, Am 38 weeks today.

I think this looks like normal pregnancy discharge. My mucus plug was huge and bloody. Contractions stared about 24 hours later.

I would call them with any bleeding at 35 weeks!!
