Best maternity leggings

Hi! I’m after some nice black over bump maternity leggings that are thick, without being “thermal” or fleece lined, essentially I want some that aren’t see through and suitable for wearing with just a top.
When I search this I keep getting directed to Lovalls website but I’m unsure whether their leggings are fleece lined, and lots of reviews that say they’re really tight over the bump - it’s a bit confusing! I’m also 5ft10 so I’m after some that are nice and long so I don’t have to hoik them up all the time.
does anyone have any recommendations?

many thanks 🤩

Sweaty Betty maternity leggings were my favourite, super comfortable (I'm still wearing them 14 weeks postpartum😂).

I had a pair of Lovall leggings and they were fleece lined. Comfortable at first, but I remember getting to a point where they were too tight over my bump. Also tried the Lululemon Align leggings. These were good for the first half of pregnancy but got too tight - not as stretchy as the Internet had me believe!

I have some Lovall ones. They had three different thicknesss when I ordered recently and only the thickest ones are fleece lined. The ones I have are brushed cotton. I’m not sure if they will last me through the pregnancy as they are already tight at 7 months.

Valandy ones on Amazon are brilliant, they come in sets of three colours, wash well and aren’t fleece lined so not too hot.

I’ve just got H&M ones and honestly they are so comfy I think I might be in them forever! They had a cheaper and more expensive (though still H&M) I got more expensive and am very happy with the coverage

H&M Mama Sports leggings

I’m 5ft 11 and swear by Lululemon Align super high rise. Not maternity specific but get one size up from your usual. They’re not that cheap but I have two pairs that have been washed and worn to death and are still in heavy postpartum rotation after baby three. Cost per wear is almost in minus figures! 😂

I had Lovall winter leggings and they were amazing. Started wearing them last October/November when I would have been about 5 months and wore them throughout the winter and even into hospital to give birth. I wore them post partum for weeks too. Honestly so comfy throughout and they never felt tight. So cosy! I miss them!

Czy yoga ones from Amazon. They are the same material as sweaty Betty but 1/2 the price! Very comfortable! https://amzn.eu/d/94jA1Q5

Definitely recommend lovall ones. I sized up when pregnant. I wear my normal size now I’m not pregnant. Can’t remember if the same for maternity ones or not but they have winter leggings which a thicker and then just regular leggings which sounds like what your after, not see through at all

MaltWispa · 06/10/2025 17:25

I got some from Long Tall Sally and M&S :)

Thanks so much everyone! I’m going to go through all of the suggested ones and see what ones I like best! Thankyou 😊 xx
