Helloo just reaching out for some mum support if possible! I am 5w2d pregnant for the first ever time for context it took us nearly 2 years to conceive. I have had swollen large boobs and twinging stomach cramps everyday for 4/5 days then the past 2/3 days i have had 0 symptoms no sore swollen boobs no stomach cramps nothing. My test still also shows 2-3 weeks and hasn’t moved to 3+ weeks like I thought it would.

Am I right to feel really anxious ( as i have this really awful feeling hanging over me ) or is this normal in early pregnancy?

Please help sorry if I sound like a novice that’s because I am 😆💗

It's so frustrating. Basically you have to wait and see. I totally get that that isn't helpful, but it is the same issue that every pregnant woman faces while waiting to see if it will stick, so at least you're not alone ❤️

Early pregnancy symptoms do come and go so try not to worry too much about feeling slightly better one day than the next. I understand how difficult that actually is in reality though. If you haven’t already, I would self-refer to your local midwives as you might feel better knowing you have some support to reach out to if needed and then can work towards the date of your booking in appointment x

I’m 5W,1D with my first baby and only found out last week that I’m expecting. I have been struggling so much with anxiety myself even before I found out I was pregnant. I think it could be the hormones playing havoc?
I went to the doctor thinking I was having a nervous breakdown to walk out pregnant!
I’ve had cramping on and off for the last few days too, I am telling myself it’s just my body preparing for the months ahead. But I understand how you feel, the second I knew about my baby I have never loved anything so much and all I want to do is keep him/her safe. It’s a really vulnerable time especially when you may not have told many people yet, I feel quite isolated myself which is why I joined Mumsnet.
I’ve registered my pregnancy and booked in for my first appointment with a midwife in a few weeks time. It feels like a long wait between now and then! Probably best if you get yourself booked in too it might help if you can speak to someone who knows what they are talking about!
