23 weeks no movement

Hi all, just looking for advice. I’m 23 weeks and I’m not really feeling any movement yet, I’ve felt the odd thing but not much and basically nothing today.

This is my second so I know what it feels like.

I guess I wondered if anyone has advice on if triage would see me? As I know they generally say 24 weeks. I have a midwife appointment next week but I don’t think I can wait until then.

Just go, don't wait.

HelloGreen · 03/10/2025 18:04

Call them.

Call them

HelpMeUnpickThis · 03/10/2025 18:08

Call them.

HellsBellsTrudy · 03/10/2025 18:24

Thank you all, I’ll call them first thing in the morning, unfortunately don’t have anyone to watch my DD tonight.

Could you take dd with you? Definitely worth going. At least give them a call.
Dd was back to back, I didn't really feel her till 27 28 weeks.

Definitely call them and get seen. It could just be your placenta position but better to be safe and get checked out.

Overthebow · 03/10/2025 18:43

Did they tell you your placenta position at your 20 week scan?

pinkbackground · 03/10/2025 18:44

Is it a front placenta? I think I’d give them all call.

Ivf4203 · 03/10/2025 19:08

I was told by my midwife it’s ok not to feel until 24 weeks but trust your instinct and get seen if you’re concerned.

PurpleTurtleMoose · 03/10/2025 19:54

Naturally do check with the professionals if you're at all concerned, but I'm sure it's all fine. I only started feeling movement at about 23 weeks, and that's with a posterior placenta. It's different for everyone

Thanks all for your comments. I went this morning and all is fine, lovely strong heartbeat and ironically it took a while to find because she was so active (which I couldn’t feel!)
Theyve said if I still have concerns at 26 weeks they could scan but all seems fine atm ❤️

Have they said where your placenta is placed?
With my 2nd my placenta was at the front so I barely felt him in my front but the bigger he got I could feel him in my back

Glad everything is okay x
