Is anyone else in the same boat? I feel like I spend the day grazing on crisps and sweets (and a shed load of fruit) rather than eating actual meals. Just picked up today's wrappers and horrified to discover I've had a full tube of pringles, haribo, 3 mini mars bars a bag of Maltesers. For breakfast I had a bagel and for lunch a cup of bolognese. On top of that I've had irn bru and an orange lucozade 🙈

Also had 2 oranges an apple and a mango.

Is this normal?

I assume I shoukd try and cut back? Or at this point does it not matter?

39 weeks here and eating pretty much exactly the same diet as you 😆
Honestly can't bring myself to care.

38 weeks pregnant and also eating the same kind of stuff, fruit and chocolate seem to be my go to!

Oh god, this was me completely - I was like that all the way through each of my three pregnancies. I felt quite sick and needed to eat to keep the nausea at bay, but any “healthy” foods just made it feel worse. I gave up trying to cut back by the third pregnancy and accepted that’s just how I was!

The moment the baby was out I was back to normal and started enjoying healthy food again and feeling more energetic. I got massive with each pregnancy and then gradually lost it all. It was fine.

Pregnancy is so hard! Enjoy your haribo, Pringles and Maltesers x

When I was pregnant the crappier the food they more chance it had of staying down. Anything remotely healthy (so no chance I could have eaten that fruit) would have been vomited straight back up.

38 weeks and ate a share bag of chocolate buttons in about 10 minutes today! Chocolate consumption has definitely increased in the last few weeks 🫣

It's definitely the brain trying to get concentrated calories in since there's no space left in our abdomens for full, healthy meals 😜

CaptainMyCaptain · 04/10/2025 17:20

I was like that. It was all I could keep down. Baby was fine.

39 weeks and living off plain pasta still!

I feel awful about it as I had a really good diet before pregnancy, but it’s all I can stomach. Reassuring to know it’s not just me!

At just short of 37 weeks my midwife recommended I switched to junk food. I was losing weight and struggling with extreme fatigue and appetite. She suggested increasing the calories of the food I was eating and eating whenever I was awake. I went on an ice-cream, crisps and chocolate diet. Baby arrived by induction a few days later
