Medical professionals - CMV result interpretation

Hi

I’m hoping someone with medical or midwifery knowledge can help me.

I’ve had CMV results back and am unclear if I should be worried as the igg result is quite high at 250 but the Igm result is Negative but says my result indicates past infection.

Cytomegalovirus Ab(IgG) 250.0 AU/ml

Does a result of 250 mean it’s recent and can that be dangerous in pregnancy? I am very early in my pregnancy (6 weeks).

Nothing to worry about here, that result definitely indicates past infection. There’s nothing in those results that would suggest it’s recent.

Please try not to worry. (I am a medical professional in a related field).

Agree, nothing to worry about at all, evidence of infection predating the pregnancy (which around 50% of the population will have)
