How long were you ttc before a pregnancy? Did you change up anything before your bfp cycle?

2 years before I fell pregnant. The only thing I changed really was I stopped taking pre pregnancy vitamins as I’d lost hope in getting pregnant. I said to my dh that I wanted to stop trying for a while and try again in the new year. 2 months later I was pregnant, it was da complete surprise!

I did use apps for tracking ovulation etc but my gp told me to stop as they were working on an algorithm and that women’s bodies change so much that it’s difficult my to rely on an app saying you’re the most fertile as it was likely incorrect.

Literally the first time we decided that we would start trying and didn't use a condom... We thought we would get lots of "practice" in... sigh!😂

First try both times

For DC1 it took about 6mos. I was just starting to freak out a little but DH was going away on business so we gave it the old college try earlier in my cycle than usual. Turns out I ovulate earlier in the cycle ... by the time the CM arrived, my fertile window had shut.

When I was hankering after another DC we were first time lucky b/c we tried just after my period. DH was hoping for 'a long campaign'...

I've heard lots of couples say they were lucky when they weren't trying, just enjoying life - long boozy weekend with old friends seems to have been a magic charm.

About 4 months. The only thing I changed was I stopped doing ovulation tests and stopped obsessing so much about timing etc...

It took me 4 years for ds, then another 4 with 2 losses for this pregnancy (im 27 weeks). I think everyones ttc journey is catered to them. And I wish you all the best xxx

Things I did change after my loses was,
Went on a massive health kick
Lost 6 stone
Decided not to ttc
Ran 3 times a week
Enjoyed my life

I did have a hycosy to see if I had any underlining issues, following week I conceived. So unsure what was the culprit in helping me but I think the lifestyle change done wonders for my body xxx

Two years after a vasectomy reversal…and a week before a fertility appointment!

First try - I have PCOS and we were told it could be hard to conceive so we decided to just crack on with it...things moved faster than anticipated!

Strongbrewplease · 03/10/2025 22:08

I have irregular cycles - with no obvious cause. With DD it took 7 months. I'm currently just over 6w and this time it took 10 months ttc.
Both times the one factor that changed was that I started having weekly accupuncture and within a month pregnant! Might just be coincidence but it worked so quickly both times.

6 months. Took inositol and went low carb/low sugar. I have PCOS though.
