Pregnancy eczma

Hey everyone,

I'm currently 14 weeks pregnant and have been suffering with face eczma for the last few weeks. I've always suffered with eczma but only ever get the odd small flare up here and there on my body e.g, inside of elbow, a tiny patch on my hand, which typically go after a while and I can go months in between finding an eczma patch.

My face eczma is so uncomfortable, constantly wanting to rub my eyes, scratch around them and bite my lips and around them. It's also got me really self conscious as I have 2 raw red circles around my eyes and mouth.

I started using beef tallow from Fat Cow, thought I saw an initial improvement, but I feel back to square one so perhaps the beef tallow isn't helping.

I'd prefer to stay away from steroid creams so has anyone experienced this, and if so, what helped you?

Thanks 💖

I’ve also had eczema flare ups since getting pregnant. Diprobase cream worked very well in my experience. I never used on face though as I haven’t had eczema on my face. Good luck OP!

Hi @Brs2024 . Im also a long term eczema sufferer. Weirdly mines hasn't been bad during pregnancy but I've been tortured by itchy skin regardless so its not much better.
QV moisturiser has been my saving grace and I always put it on my face. Have you tried it before? Xx

I've just purchased some E45 which my mum swore by when I was a kid and having flare ups. Hoping to see some improvement soon. Never heard of QV, but if I don't see any improvement I'll get myself some QV, the reviews look really good on amazon. Thanks! 😊 xx

Long time ezcema sufferer here and my skin exploded during my pregnancy. It was truly awful. I was referred to dermatology who reassured me that steroids were the best course of action in my case. I’ve used every cream / soap under the sun and it was useless for actually resolving my rashes. Next time I’ll definitely use steroids as soon as I flare to nip it in the bud before it gets worse.
