Symptom advice needed!!

I’ll keep it as brief as I can..

So 7dpo I had a tiny amount of pink spotting when I wiped, it only happened once and then was gone, blink and you miss it type of vibe. I also had a extremely emotional day that day and cried a lot, very unusual for me.
I haven’t had this before.

We dtd before and during ovulation.

Af Is now due in two days, I’ve had zero of my usual pms symptoms when normally I have tender breasts, nausea, migraines, slow digestion.
i also normally spot for three days before my at starts but as yet nothing and in due in two days.

The symptoms I’m having this month are a LOT of very smelly gas (tmi I apologise) for the last two days, needing to pee a lot more than usual, and some minor stomach cramps, I’m also falling asleep constantly.

Has anyone had a similar situation? Is it too early to test?

In my experience, pregnancy symptoms are so similar to AF symptoms it’s almost impossible to tell which is which, especially if you’re trying to get pregnant. You start to obsess over everything and it’s a tough time.The spotting 7dpo looks positive, could have been implantation 👍🏻 Would I recommend testing before af is late? No. Would I have been able to wait until af is late? Probably not! Good luck 🍀

The main symptom I had was exhaustion. I tested 6 days before due period and test was positive.

A lot of people would get a faint positive 2 days before AF was due if pregnant. But when you’re symptom watching straight from ovulation the symptoms are similar and all blend into one, so try not to get your hopes up too much.

A little update, af was due today, this afternoon I had one tiny amount of brown blood when I wiped after peeing, as yet no full period.

Took a pg test that was negative

You'd have a positive test at this point if you were.

Another update:

af still not arrived, I dtd with hubby today and had some brownish spotting after, so assumed it had brought af on. I put on a pad and that was 8 hours ago and pad remained clear and spotting has stopped. It lasted 2-3 wipes, and only when wiping.

Had cramps on right side this afternoon. Will be holding out until Friday and if af doesn’t arrives I will test again.

Has anybody had this? I’m assuming it could just be a late period, although it is rather strange for me.

This happened to me years ago when I was in my early 20s and not trying to get pregnant. The more I thought about it, (hard not to really) the later it got. I took a test and my period came that night. It was as if I relaxed and my body let it happen. Try not to think about it, what will be will be! Sometimes we ovulate later due to emotional/physical stress etc 💓

Thank you for this! I agree that relaxing defo helps bring af on sometimes, so I’ll try and relax for a few days and see what happens 😊

Update: just took a test and I can see a slightttt positive! Anyone else see it?

Hello @TequilaSunrise89 that test is flooded, so it isn't really possible to read it.
As you're three days late now, a digital test would be accurate if taken. Can you get one? Good luck!

I will be getting a digital today and taking it first thing tomorrow. Still trying to not get my hopes up too much, as it defo is a flooded test.

In my experience, symptoms don't give any insight into pregnancy. I've had implantation with no symptoms at all, and implantation with symptoms that are indistinguishable from AF. Now 18 weeks into pregnancy, I never had any pregnancy symptoms apart from my clothing doesn't fit, I'm hungrier than normal and had first trimester fatigue. I also had lots of first trimester bleeding! For those reasons, the only things I trust are pregnancy tests, blood tests and scans.

Thank you for this, I had a positive test this morning but it was flooded so to be sure I will be testing again tomorrow. I have on and off spotting and currently no other symptoms, so as you say, it’s so hard to tell until you either get a bfp or af comes.

I will be taking it tomorrow as I thought it would be best to leave 48 hours inbetween tests to give it some time for hcg to grow. I will update first thing!

Update:

Took a test this morning, negative.

Af now 4 days late, had some tiny amount of pink/brown spotting (it’s either colour each time I’ve noticed it) when I wipe for the last few days, if I wasn’t looking for it I wouldn’t have noticed it, underwear completely clear each time I use the loo.

Will wait it out and see if af comes I suppose

Since my negative test this morning I had a little amount of red spotting when I wiped, so put a pad on assuming af had started, but no blood or spotting at all since!

It’s all very confusing, I’d be fine either way at this point I just hate the waiting game.

Ill be taking another test on Monday if af still hasn’t arrived by then.
