I'm 19 weeks and today experienced bad constipation. I had to push hard.

Has anyone experienced this and what did you do?

I've been having belly aches since which I think is due to straining but I had a MMC this year so I'm just so anxious.

Fybogel is safe to take every day in pregnancy. Chia seeds, two kiwi fruit a day (including the skin) dates, keeping hydrated etc etc can also help.

Glycerol suppositories, get them from Amazon. I sincerely believe every post-partum woman should be handed a pack on exiting the maternity ward.

Unfortunately it’s one of the many not so lovely side effects of the hormones! Lots of water, fruit & veggies

Prune juice. Worked for me after surgery and cocodamol caused constipation..
