Bleeding 5 weeks pregnant

Hi All,

we have no one to speak to and I’m really stressing!

found out last week that tomorrow I will be 5 weeks pregnant. I had really sore breasts, felt sick and tired. Last night I went to the toilet and noticed I was losing some light pink blood(not loads but mainly when I wiped) that was that, no more since. Today I have very very little light brownish discharge and very faint cramps(not as bad as my menstrual cycle used to be!) and all my pregnancy symptoms seem to have disappeared:( I’m really worried this is a miscarriage?

I have a blood test tomorrow then another on Monday.

Hi OP,

I'm sorry you're going through this. The blood on wiping could well be implantation bleeding as the baby continues to burrow deeper into the womb lining.

However, if the bleeding is like a period or it gets heavier and turns into a period-like flow, then that would almost certainly be an active miscarriage, more specifically a chemical as 5 weeks is so very early. Pregnancy symptoms also do come and go.

I would wait for the outcome of the blood test. I know the waiting and uncertainty is hard. I will pray for you.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed, no bleeding since last night. I’m not sure whether it could be implantation because I’m already a week past my due on date for my period :( but keeping fingers crossed x
