Bleeding during first trimester

Hi all new to mumsnet! Just looking for some help. Found out I was pregnant on the 19th, going off the first day of my last period I'm 4 weeks today. Been testing everyday all positive and this morning was one of the strongest lines I've had. But then I started bleeding. Its bright red but not heavy like a period. Got a few little niggles but not like period cramps. Went to A&E where the nurse said it sounds like implantation bleeding, no blood or infection in my wee. She said to retest in a week and if its still positive I'll be referred to the early pregnancy unit. Just wondering if this seems normal/has happened to anyone else? Obviously still just worried. The bleeding hasn't gotten any worse or heavier just seems bright red rather than pink/brown. Thank you!

Both me and my daughter had bleeds during early pregnancy. Mine, they thought was possibly me miscarrying a twin. My daughter bled more often but it was thought to be vaginally rather than her uterus

Hello, I'm so sorry to hear you're experiencing this. I really hope everything is okay, lots of women do experience bleeding early on.

I had the same thing you're experiencing, started bleeding at 4 weeks. Unfortunately for me I had horrible pain a couple of days later and it turned out to be ectopic. Again I really hope things work out well for you and it may all be fine. I would say if you do feel any strong cramps/pain then please push for a scan. Sending best wishes 💕

Im so sorry you went through that! 💔 I haven't had any pain, and I have a haematoma which usually in a period hurts I just feel like I need to wee loads like a little pressure in my pelvic area but this morning the blood hasn't subsided its still bright red and ive tested its so faint the test is almost white whereas yesterday it was a strong positive ☹️

Thank you @Robs96, happy to hear that you aren't experiencing pain. Really wishing you all the best, when it's this early everything is so confusing and you just don't know what's going on I guess 💕

Wishing you all the luck in the world. It's horrible. But I bled with both of my children and scoured the internet in hope and both were sub chronic hematomas. They were both completely fine.

I had two others in between my first and second where the bleed meant it had finished (I'm sorry I don't know a better word really) but my second was conceived 3 months after the second chemical so it didn't impact my ability to have her.

It can go either way you just have to wait and it's a blooming horrible wait. You aren't alone
