Any one had lot's of antibiotics while pregnant and was their baby okay?

Hi, I'm currently 11 weeks pregnant and have pneumonia that I can't shift. I was started on IV amoxicillin then had 7 day's of oral antibiotics. A couple day's after stopping the pain and trouble breathing started back, I've now been started on erythromycin, hopefully it works and I know I need them, I'm just concerned the effect it could have on my baby.

Yes I had sepsis. All completely fine but as you can imagine I’m a little OTT about it all still. (FWIW the sepsis was not pregnancy related)

I had quite a long course for a very bad case of tonsillitis. Baby was absolutely fine. They give you pregnancy safe ones. It’s only bad if you don’t take them.

Yes, three lots, not an issue at all.

Yes, I had recurrent UTIs, so ended up
taking antibiotics almost constantly! Baby is now a strapping 3.5 year old who is sharp as a tack x

I was on heavy duty antibiotics for the duration of both my pregnancies (10 years apart). I normally take a low dose for chronic long term bladder issues but it flares with pregnancy. No issues at all.

I took some for a uti when pregnant, my DTs are now 7, a healthy huge and bright as a pair of buttons.

Teeth issues (hypomineralisation) have apparently been caused by ab use in pregnancy for several children i know.

NB: I’m not a dentist, or a doctor - just saying what the dentist told several of us w kids w these problems

doxycycline can def cause issues - when I took it I was cross questioned at length and advised to use double contraceptives…
