Very sore ribs/muscles 13 weeks

I'm 13 weeks today and for the last few days I've been getting a pain around my sides/rib cage. I did lift a few heavy bags a day or so before (around 15kg), so I'm not sure if that's what's causing it. I was told lifting is fine if you did it pre-pregnancy, but maybe I've over done it. Obviously I won't be doing any more lifting to be on the safe side, but it's definitely a feeling of aching muscles. A bit like when you've done a workout which makes you sore for days after. Is this normal, or should I call the doctor?

If it is a muscular pain I wouldn't worry, unless it doesn't start to heal soon. Does it ease off when you rest, and hurt when you use the muscles?

I pulled some odd core muscles in pregnancy which never troubled me before. Muscles I didn't know I had! I think everything is stretching and also hormones loosen everything so it's easier to hurt yourself.
Lift with proper posture, and tighten your PF and core before lifting. You won't necessarily be able to lift as much as pre-pregnancy. Even though some people seem able to, the hormones affect everyone differently.

It definitely eases when I sit down, it's when I stand up or get out of bed, it's very sore! I'm feeling a lot more sensitive this time round, and much earlier on too

This is number 4 for me 😵 I did get very lucky with the last ones, but I put that down to being in my early 20s!! I feel like a wreck this time round
