Hi all. First pregnancy and 37 weeks. Have been suffering with severe PGP for around 3-4 weeks now. Spoke to a physio and have followed advice but it’s now at a point I cannot move or walk without extreme pain.

last 2 days I thought it was escalating as I was getting cramps in my lower abdomen and extreme heavy pressure with pain in the same place, as I was experiencing all of this at the same time I thought they were related but now I’m getting lower back cramps every so often through the day along with period like cramps. They aren’t regular and were so mild to begin with I didn’t read into it until they became a little more intense. They are still mild and very irregular but this is a new symptom and now don’t think related to my PGP. I also had some pale yellow sticky discharge earlier
today but not a huge amount but enough to notice. Have had what I believe are Braxton in hicks over past 2 weeks but yesterday had what I would call “diarrhoea” type cramps but no abnormal bowel movements. All has been going on for around 36 hours.

anyone else have experience with severe PGP and telling this pain apart from potential early labour or false labour? I’m in completely unknown waters here and I don’t know anyone that’s has my PGP issues

thank you !

I suffered with extreme hip pain in pregnancy where the hip had opened too much and was rubbing bone on bone. I had to walk waddling from side to side, putting more pressure on the other side, it was awful. God it was so painful and almost impossible to walk, I’d nearly be crying just to walk a minute. The day I went into labour I woke up with period pains in my lower back and front. They slowly progressed to cramps randomly throughout the day until the cramps stopped me in my tracks. I thought it was Braxton hicks so I rested but they didn’t go away, eventually they ramped up and baby came. Could the discharge be a part of your mucus plug? I’d say baby is on its way soon! Maybe go to the hospital and have a little check up? Even just to put your mind at ease.
Good luck 🍀
Oh and almost immediately after giving birth I was 85% pain free with the hip and after 3 weeks it was like nothing had ever been wrong with it!
