I am 11 weeks pregnant with baby number 2. We will be finding out the gender at our 20 week scan.

I am obsessed with symptoms im sorry to say… i know every pregnancy is different. Did anyone get any different symptoms when carrying a boy or girl?

With my DD:
No tiredness
Nausea and sickness
Sweetness cravings
Bad skin
Bad mood swing
Didn’t go off coffee
Went off meat

With this pregnancy:
Very tired all the time
No nausea
Both sweet and salty cravings
Bad skin
No mood swings
Gone off coffee
Some headaches
Gone off meat

What were everyone else’s symptoms and what are you pregnant with/ what did you have?

I had:

  • Bad nausea and vomiting
  • No cravings, but did like sweet stuff more than I usually would
  • No boob soreness
  • No mood swings
  • Went off pretty much all foods
  • Tiredness
  • Improved skin!
  • No headaches

It was a girl

I have two boys and one girl, and all of my pregnancies were the same. Also it is sex not gender.

TallulahBetty · 19/09/2025 14:16

Sex* and symptoms have no bearing on this.

Mslongears · 19/09/2025 14:21

With my boys I had nausea and very little vomiting which lasted up until 9 weeks. No food aversions and lots of cravings. Very bad cystic acne. This time round I've been very sick and 24/7 nausea, severe food aversions and no cravings. My skin has also cleared up. I'm only 13 weeks so won't be finding out for another few months, but my gut is telling me it's a girl. Obviously symptoms aren't an indicator of gender, but you never know!

Dd1 - no breakouts
No boob ache
No sickness
Just tired from week 6-10
Craved sushi non stop

Dd2 - pretty similar to dd1 except less tired and less craving

Dd3 - all day sickness from week 4-9
Only sweet things 1st trimester
Only savoury things 2nd trimester
Not enough food in the world to satisfy my hunger 3rd trimester
Boob ache like nothing else
Breakouts throughout 1st trimester
Tiredness until 3rd trimester

Interesting! Seems like everyone’s symptoms are different, I did have really bad nausea with my first girl so will be interesting to see if I have another girl.

I've had 2 boys and 1 girl. My pregnancies with boys were extremely similar:
Very tired
Very hungry and had aversions to sweet things which I normally love - most of the time I wanted meat, salty food and meals such as pasta/rice
No nausea
Put on LOADS of weight
Linea Nigra going past the belly button
Hair looked really good
High bumps
Not really any problems during pregnancy apart from reduced movements late into my first pregnancy

With my girl:
No tiredness
Never hungry, had to force myself to eat as it all made me feel sick and actually lost weight at first
Aversions to nearly all food, I only managed extremely plain things like cheese sandwiches, plain chips and plain pasta - also randomly managed custard doughnuts and haribo

Hair and skin looked shit
Linea Nigra only up to the belly button
Lower bump
So many problems during pregnancy - bleeding, pre term labour, cervical ectropion, waters breaking at 31 weeks and she was born at 31+3 after a placental abruption

Quite similar to when I had my DD. Good luck 😀

I was like you and had very different symptoms but had 2 girls.

Seagullsandsausagerolls · 19/09/2025 15:05

Hospitalized with sickness. Sickness lasted until labour.
Craved Apple Creams
Migraines
Extreme tiredness
High bump
Looked like I was dying

Had a boy.

Subsequent pregnancies never held (thanks adenomyosis) but I did have extreme sickness whilst I was pregnant.

Oh wow sorry to hear about your sickness! Confused That’s actually so interesting about the high bump as a lot of people say they have high bumps with girls only. I had a very high bump with DD.

2 days of sickness and nausea thats it!
Sweet and salty cravings
Improved skin
Bad hair (greasy)
Starving
No mood swings until my 3rd trimester, im going through some rough mood swings.
Depending on the meat, i sometimes gag i sometimes dont.

Im having a boy!

Pennyroses · 19/09/2025 21:40

I had no sickness with my boys and felt fine throughout the pregnancies, with my daughter I had severe HG and was in hospital on a drip. This pregnancy I've been very sick (not quite as bad) and exhausted and just feel ill all the time 😩 I'm fully expecting it to be another girl!!!

jennyt82 · 19/09/2025 21:54

I had 3 pregnancies with all the same symptoms and one pregnancy was completely different in every way.
I have 4 boys!

MrsTrellisOgleddCymru · 19/09/2025 22:14

DD
morning sickness for first trimester
cravings for Mentholyptus sweets and orange ice lollies
hair grew really fast and became shiny and lustrous
skin was really clear
had loads of energy, worked till 2 weeks before she was born

DS
sickness day and night throughout pregnancy
lost 2 stone
couldn’t face food and lived virtually on ready-break and very weak coffee
sense of smell went into hyperdrive, and I pretty much hated all smells.

constantly tired
resembled a zombie, although a zombies skin and hair was probably better

DappledThings · 19/09/2025 22:17

I have one of of each sex, pregnancies were the same.

WhatMe123 · 19/09/2025 22:23

Two girls.....totally different symptoms
I really done think not means anything at all

Ohwelldone · 20/09/2025 10:34

With my 2 boys I had barely any sickness, nausea mainly when I was hungry that stopped at around 13 weeks. Don't remember having sore boobs or being fatigued. No major cravings but probably leaned towards savoury. No headaches.

This time I'm 17 weeks and still nauseous a lot of the time, still being sick at least once a day even with sickness tablets.
Sore boobs that have got bigger already
Headaches
Don't really crave anything, gone off a few foods. Went through a stage where everything tasted disgusting.
Fatigue, especially the 1st trimester.

I'm finding out mid October!

kanmaniveerappan · 11/12/2025 16:32

Please tell me what baby I carry. SYMPTOMS

Hadalifeonce · 11/12/2025 16:34
