I assume this is normal and just because baby is pressing on something?

I don't know if it's normal or not. It could be hormonal, perhaps? When I had this during my second pregnancy, I didn't think much of it.

Then after the birth, it started getting worse. I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis when that baby was 4 months old, but the diarrhoea at that point had ramped up to over 25 times a day, which was mostly passing blood.

I don't want to worry you, just be sure you mention to your midwife or GP. TBH, when just once daily, my GP wasn't concerned at all and thought it was IBS. It got much worse a few weeks later and the GP referred me to Gastro.
