I'm 35+5 and saw my midwife today. She felt my belly and said the baby’s head was 1/5 engaged into the pelvis. I have a c section booked for 3 weeks, but I’m worried I could go into labour earlier. She said I shouldn’t. Please advise!

They can go in and out of being engaged and they can get themselves in the right position weeks before they arrive. One of the women in my NCT group had baby engaged quite early, whilst we were doing the classes and she went overdue.

You might find you get more uncomfortable with baby in the pelvis.

If you go into labour earlier then surely they'll just get you in for a more spontaneous C-section ?
