im very very late on my period. My husband had a vasectomy 8 years ago and then had testicular cancer so the odds of pregnancy are very very slim. I’m 37. Should I test or just wait for period to arrive?

Test. For peace of mind more than anything. If you’re very late you could expect a glaring positive by now if you were pregnant, so if you get a negative you can then just relax and wait for your period to come.

Yep, test for peace of mind, but given the context it’s more likely that you just ovulated late this cycle. Are your cycles usually regular?

Yes usually clockwork

Any reason you haven't tested yet?

I had similar this month. Period two weeks late, ovulated around CD 14, and then had like three weeks of PMS symptoms. DH had a vasectomy 5 years ago so was 99% sure it wasn’t pregnancy, but still tested just in case. Thankfully period did eventually arrive!
