Sainsbury’s pink dye tests - loads of false positives?

Late period (I think - PCOS problems), sore boobs etc, but could also just be due on.

Took a sainos own brand pink dye tests 10 days ago and was an immediate positive. Since then I’ve done 10+ of these ones, plus cheapie sticks, early detection ones (all pink dye), and boots own. Most of my sainos ones are positive, and the rest are nearly all negative (aside from one or two maybe squinters).

I can’t make sense of it cos the sainos ones are LESS sensitive than some of the others I’m trying. They also aren’t getting darker.

Surely the only answer is that these tests are all dodgy? Has anyone else used these recently? I’ve got a GP appointment on Friday and she’s probably going to think I’m mad.

PS the top one in the pic is actually another brand and I think it’s probably an indent? All others from that brand were negative. These are taken over the course of 10 days, I’ve got loads more like it but also loads of negatives. Some pics are of them dried but lines were absolutely there in the timings, if not darker.

Why are you doing so many OP? It’s impossible to no what’s going on, could be a chemical pregnancy, that many false positives are unlikely. Go visit a GP

So another option is that you are pregnant, but more pregnant than you realise (say eight weeks). At that point the Hook Effect could mean a sensitive test could read negative due to the test being overwhelmed, but a less sensitive test would be positive due to the higher threshold. To check, collect some urine and have two sensitive tests. Do one test. Then dilute the urine sample by at least half with tap water. Do the other test. If it's the hook effect your second test is likely to be positive.
