Currently 18 weeks pregnant, only felt a little kick here and there over the last week as baby starting to get bigger

I’ve been having back pain that’s keep me up at night and is a real agony.

I went to bed with a hot water bottle on my back and i fell asleep. I woke up and the hot water bottle was more on my tummy than back and I’m majorly panicking that I’ve done harm!!! I don’t know how long it would have been there altogether as I’ve slept about 3 - 4 hours

Because I haven’t felt baby moved a lot yet during pregnancy, I’m unable to use this as a guide and not sure whether I should be worried

Ahh help!

Hey you should be fine and baby be fine too. The bottle couldn’t have been too hot or you wouldn’t firstly scalded your skin. And after a couple of hours water does get cooler.
At 18 weeks, baby is still small so I don’t think the hot water bottle would’ve reached to the baby.
I wasn’t feeling much movement even at 20 weeks with my baby. My doctor told me to walk Allen’s briskly and drink cold water as that would wake the baby and get them moving. But I’m sure I was like 26 weeks at that time.
if you have concerns, call you the urgent number on your maternity notes.
good luck and I hope baby is just sleeping and starts kicking soon

Baby will be totally fine don't worry. I had hot baths throughout my pregnancy as it's not true these are bad for baby, so water bottle is same thing!
