Slow rising HCG and really worried

Hello, I’m feeling very deflated today. I went in for an early scan and had my hcg levels checked because I felt sharp pains on one side (that have since disappeared). On the scan I was exactly 5 weeks but she said she could only see a 1.2mm gestational sac which is tiny!! Got my blood results back today and they were around 500 and then only about 700 two days later. I have another scan in 2 days but I’m just terrified it’s going to be a blighted ovum or something :/ has anyone experienced anything similar and it turned out okay? I’ve heard on other forums that even a 35% increase is okay.

That is a very low level to increase by in 48 hours, there’s a chance it could lead to miscarriage but also not. Unfortunately no one can tell you if or when.

Have you been invited back for another check?

I know :( I’m going back in on Wednesday for another scan which should be exactly 6 weeks to see if anything’s developed but I have a bad feeling. The only symptoms I have are really sore boobs and tiredness. I’m preparing for the worst :(

What was your outcome? I’m similar scan tomorrow at 6+4. Had an early scan though showed gestational sac right place but empty. Did HCG going up but not doubling in 48 hours. First was 2100, then 3600, then next day was 4200 and 48 hours after that was 6400

@FairPinkOP Hiya, unfortunately I had an early miscarriage about 2 weeks later. They did find more on the next scan but everything was measuring tiny still. I started to get very strong cramps and I sort of knew, followed by brown spotting that turned red. I’ve heard lots of positive things though with people who have had slow rising hcg and that over 1000 it slows down so I wouldn’t worry. Hope everything goes well for you x
