I’m nearly at 37 weeks term and have suffered a one off event causing stress but I can’t really breath or relax due to stress and am worried it will cause harm to the baby or early labour any suggestions or experience? Trying to be normal in the day for ds1 but it’s hard.

The levels of stress that are needed to trigger an effect in baby are those that are where there is imminent risks to life like war zones and terror attacks. There was a study in women in the twin towers and those in their third trimester had raised cortisol in their infants. If you think about it evolutionarily if there's a risk to life you want your infants to be a bit more alert to danger when born

The levels of stress in modern life is more unpleasant for you than it would be harmful to baby. I'm sorry you are going through something difficult at the moment. Take care of yourself and try to get as much calm as you can
