I was diagnosed with polyhydramnios at 31+5 and its off the scale, so as you can imagine I'm huge and very uncomfortable. I have horrendous pains and tightenings and constantly have acid coming up
Id love to hear some of your stories, how did u ease the discomfort, when did u have baby.Did your waters go etc? I keep expecting my waters to go all the time lol.
thanks

I was diagnosed with polyhydramnios at about 29 weeks. It was extremely uncomfortable - I was shattered, my ribs hurt and the baby somersaulted a lot because he had loads of space! I found no way to ease the discomfort, I just slept as much as I could.

Like you, I kept expecting my waters to go at any point in time. My midwife told me that if they suddenly go I'm to call and ambulate and lay on my back with my legs in the air in case the baby shoots out with all the water. Needless to say I stayed in a lot.

Anyhow, I ended up being induced at 41+5 and during labour the midwife trouble breaking my waters!

So it did not end up how I'd feared!

Oh and I should add that the amniotic fluid levels seems to sort themselves out by about 36/37 weeks. They never actually told me this but the pace at which I was growing slowed down around this time and I started to feel the right size for the gestation and a little less uncomfortable.

Good luck! I hope the next couple of months flys by for you.

Thanks Meid, Your story is reassuring.
My amniotic sac was difficult to break with my 2nd baby so fingers crossed same goes for this 1 x
