I felt slightly sick with dd1, not sick at all with dd2 and permanently nauseous with this pregnancy - 13 weeks! So no help there really!

IdrisTheDragon · 02/06/2008 10:13

I was horribly sick with DS

I was horribly sick with DD

Not much help there

beansprout · 02/06/2008 10:14

I was much sicker with ds2. I convinced myself he was a girl and had the shock of my life when I was told "it's a boy!!".

So, you just can't tell!!

cece · 02/06/2008 10:14

No sickness wiht boy or girls

bobsyouruncle · 02/06/2008 10:15

V sick with dd, sick but not as sick with ds.

hannah001 · 02/06/2008 10:15

well - I felt really sick with DD1 til about week 20. I'm now pg with twins - one of each and I feel about twice as bad so I'm no help either - unless of course you've got twins on board too

DANCESwithLordPottingtonSmythe · 02/06/2008 10:15

I felt similar amounts of nausea with dd and ds. No help here either! I'm sure I've read you tend to be sicker with twins though....

fymandbean · 02/06/2008 10:15

Feel exactly the same as you fymandbean. Felt pretty nauseous on waking up with DS1 and now at 8 weeks I feel damn rotten all bloomin' day it seems. Trying desp not to read too much into it so the responses you've received are helpful in making it clear that it isn't an indicator of carrying the opposite sex to number one !!

lackaDAISYcal · 02/06/2008 10:17

Virtually no sickness with DS, just mild queasiness when I first got out of bed.

with DD, permanently nauseous and sick as a dog for the first 22 weeks.

this pregnancy, very queasy but not actually physical sickness, and mostly gone by about 14 weeks although I still have the odd moment. don't know what sex it is yet.
I'd heard that girls make things worse, but I'm sure that's just an old wives tale.

fymandbean · 02/06/2008 10:17

...but I think it's all fat

elle23 · 02/06/2008 11:42

1st-DS no sickness/nausea
2nd-DD no sickness/lots of nausea
3rd-DD no sickness/lots of nausea/lots of fainting

fragola · 02/06/2008 12:00

I'm on my first so I can't compare, but I was horribly sick and ill for the first 17 weeks and I'm having a boy.

lollyheart · 02/06/2008 12:34

dd really bad nausea
ds a little nausea
ds2 really bad nausea i thought he was a girl hes not born yet so might turn out to be a girl.

Niecie · 02/06/2008 12:40

Old wives tales say girls make you more sick (greater concentration of female hormones or some such)

But on the other hand, I think second ones make you feel worse anyway cos you don't have time to rest like you do first time round.

DS1 for me, very queasy for about 10 days and then fine. DS2 quite queasy up until week 14. Not so strong a feeling but dragged on for longer.

tortoiseSHELL · 02/06/2008 12:41

Ds1 - felt queasy, not too bad.

Dd - felt horrible, really really dreadful, but not actually sick.

Ds2 - felt dreadful, and was really sick till about 17 weeks.

claireybee · 02/06/2008 12:45

1st-DD constant puking and severe dehydration until 20 weeks
2ns-DS felt sick for a few weeks and was sick maybe once a day for 2 weeks or so then fine

LuXander · 02/06/2008 12:59

DS felt very queasy and was very sick
DD no sickness at all, just exhausted
Sorry, not much help either!

marchbunny · 02/06/2008 13:46

ds1 - mild nausea
dd1 - bad nausea and 'all day' vomiting
ds2 - bad nausea and some vomiting

(for me dd was def the worst )

ScoobyDoo · 02/06/2008 13:49

I was not actually sick with either but my nausea was 100 times worse when carrying dd, i was not to bad with ds.

MissusH · 02/06/2008 13:49

dd - mild nausea until approx 14wks
This time bad nausea all day & occasional vomiting until 15wks, scan says it's another girl.

So not much help I'm afraid...

mel2005 · 02/06/2008 15:46

ds1 no sickness and full of beans
dd1 no sickness and full of beans
this pregnancy feel really sick/tired/faint (i feel really terrible and i am huge already at 8weeks) so OH thinks i am having either an alien or twins

or it could be something to do with the two monsters i am running around with all day and the fact that my stomach muscles have given up.

lyndabroon · 02/06/2008 15:50

dd1 - really sick the whole 9 months
dd2 - also really sick the whole 9 months
now pg with my 3rd and no sickness at all
