Still no NHS 12 week scan date

This is a bit of a long shot but I was wondering if anyone was having the same issue as me OR can reassure me that this is pretty normal.

I’ll be 12 weeks on Monday (currently Saturday) and I still haven’t received my 12 week scan date. I’ve chased it up with my midwives and the ultrasound department and they keep just telling me to wait. I’ve been told a new system is being put in place so I wondered if this is what is causing the delay.

I’m based in Wrexham!

Hopefully it’ll be soon, you can pay for private scans as well. Have you chased your GP / hospital for the date? My first scan was at 13 weeks. With the second baby I booked a reassurance scan at 9 weeks with window to the womb

Thank you! Yes I rang last week and they just keep telling me to wait.
When did you get the date for your scan, was it quite last minute?
I had a scan at ten weeks which 100% put my mind at rest. I feel like the NHS one is a milestone though - it’s an IVF pregnancy so I think maybe I’m just being overly anxious.

Hello, nuchal scans are accurate up until 13+6 weeks so you are ok. Fingers crossed they get back to you soon.

I’m having the same issue with my 20 week scan but I’m in the south west. I’m almost 22 weeks and I just keep getting told to call back next week! The 12 week is important to be in the right date frame though so you may just have to keep on, annoyingly!

We’re keeping it under wraps until then so I’ve not been able to really reach out to anyone for advice, appreciate the replies.

I’ll give them another call on Monday. My friend is four weeks behind me (she’s with a different health board though) and she already has her date, really frustrating.
