Im due to have my baby in 13 weeks. What is a reasonable amount of clothes he should have. I feel like I don't have enough for him.

You would absolutely make do quite comfortably with: 10 sleep suits, 2 ‘nice’ outfits and 10 vests in the first size (i.e first size, 0-3) but I definitely had far far much more which i definitely didn’t need

Better to buy very few then buy some more if you realise you don't have enough in my experience.

I have a 4 week old and I’d say this is pretty accurate. We’re basically just reusing the same handful of sleepsuits and vests. We only had 3 newborn size sleep suits and the rest are 0-3 months. He’s just outgrown the newborn size and he was 9lb 3oz when born.
So I’d say get a few newborn size and a few 0-3months and as long as you do your washing every couple of days you should be alright.
You can always grab more once you know how big baby is / if you go through them very quickly (poop explosions, nappy leaks or sick etc).

Absolutely better too few than too many - dead easy to pick up a multipack of sleep suits in the supermarket if you find he's growing fast. (Or get someone to grab some for you!)

I’m gonna go the other way OP and suggest you get a bit more BUT don’t buy it all brand new. Maybe pick a couple of special sleepsuits or outfits to buy new as it’s cute and fun but otherwise buy a big bundle of mixed sizes second hand and then when he’s outgrown them, pass them on. Several of my friends have had very sicky babies, and several others of us have had ones who seem to manage to have nappy explosions a few times a day. And you also get accidents whilst changing (DD1 once did a poonami half way through me changing her and it went all over both of us 🤢), the last thing you want is to run out of clean clothes. It’s also really tricky to know what brands will fit at what stage - from memory, Next came up really big, John Lewis fit quite long but skinny and Primark was tiny. So my babies might be for example in 0-1m in Next sleepsuits but 0-3m in Primark and there’s no way you can anticipate or plan easily for that. We also had two winter babies and quickly got behind on washing during the newborn days as we couldn’t easily dry stuff outside. Just get a whole bunch of second hand stuff - people sell huge bundles of neutral stuff on Vinted or Facebook.
