Hi

i I had a miscarriage on the 28th August, the days following I had negative tests and was bleeding really heavily, I even thought it was ectopic due to the pain and how much blood.

i have not felt 100% since, been tired. Still have extremely heavy discharge.

today I have tested and it’s clearly positive. I really don’t know what’s happening. Has anyone else had this? Don’t know what’s to do

Firstly, very sorry to hear of your loss, that must have been so hard!

Depending on how far along you were and how much HGC was in your blood it can take a while for this to leave your system. I would maybe test again on Monday and if its still a very strong positive call the EPU as you may have retained tissue causing the positive result and this would need to be checked with a scan.

I'd phone the local epu and ask for advice.

So sorry to hear about this, I had a very similar experience earlier on in the year which caused me a lot of upset.

Jan 10th found out I was pregnant (very faint line though but on multiple tests)
Jan 15th (5 days late, eventually had my period which was clotty & quite clearly a chemical pregnancy only lasted a few days, completely different to what my usual periods are like)
Jan 25th-26th TTC 10 days later I knew I wanted to at least try again
2 weeks after TTC on 9th Feb we found out we were pregnant again, so that would have been just over 3 weeks that I had a chemical to finding out I was pregnant again.

not sure if that gives any hope/advice so to speak but just sharing our similar experience and may hopefully somewhat give some comfort in some way?
