Pregnancy does all sorts of weird things to yu doesn't it?

I remember not being able to get up a flight of stairs which normally I had no trouble with when I was about 12 weeks pregnant. I think pregnancy does something to your lungs - can't remember what exactly but it was to do with hormones!

Glad you are better.

as baby grows yr body adapts 2 make womb as hospitable as possible. good for baby. bad for you. all vital organs get pushed up and squashed together. good news:plenty of room for baby to grow and develop normally and healthily. bad news: things wont get better.as baby gets even bigger u'll b even shorter of breath, have palpitations and feel like yr heart will explode if u walk more than ten metres. dont worry though! it's all normal

elle - yes im aware of all the lungs being pushed up as ive been there before as this is my 2nd pg. But this was different as i thought i was gonna pass out and i just couldnt breathe - like suddenly im towards the end of the pg, but now all ok since i had a lie down with the ceiling fan on for 5 mins.

i think my body went into one!

im back to normal now! - phew!

Going back to the hormone thing I said earlier, I have just read increased progestrone makes you breath more deeply in pregnancy and that can seem like you are struggling to breath. -link here

Maybe you just had a bit of a blip in your breathing because the baby was pressing on something it shouldn't have been and you got yourself a little bit panicky - that would make you more breathless and hot I would have thought.
