2 kids, 2 1/2 and 2months. Already thinking I want a 3rd! Am I mad? I’ve had two c-sections too!

You’re not mad!! I had my third c section this summer.

DC1 2020
DC2 2023
DC3 2025

id love a 4th and technically you can have 4 c sections but I do start to worry if you’re rolling the dice too many times. My drs all thought 3rd c section was fine and no one told me they had concerns about my scar or anything

Congratulations! How was your recovery each time? I am one of 4, and very close with my siblings, how lovely that you would even consider another after already having 3 - this makes me feel positive if I were to have a 3rd!

I’m pregnant with number 3 after 2 sections. One emergency and one elective. I was also worried but after reading a few threads where doctors had put people’s minds at rest we decided to go for it. My youngest will be 4 though so maybe give it a few more months…haha!

So far in my pregnancy nobody seems at all bothered, midwife didn’t even blink when I listed as a concern. Fingers crossed all goes well for me!

I’ve had 3. I spoke to the doctors after when I was pregnant with the second when I was deciding whether to have a planned c section or vbac, we knew at the time we’d probably want a 3rd. The doctor said there was very little difference in risk between 2 and 3 c sections but they don’t recommend 4 as the risk starts to increase. During my third they commented on how little scar tissue I had.
As much as I’d love a 4th child I wont have one as for me the risks associated with a 4th section plus age are too high.

Ah thank you!

Third recovery was okay! I took it really slow. My worst recovery was possibly 2nd as it was a category 1 section under general anaesthetic and baby was at serious risk of a bad outcome. But she lived! So fortunate. First section was also hard as the first time you never know what to expect do you?

Yes I love having 3 and I still feel broody but hoping that goes one day haha
