Placenta previa

Hello, please be kind!

so at my 20 week scan I was told that the placenta is fully covering the OS and is very unlikely to move and that I’ll most likely need a section

28 weeks my placenta was still fully covering the OS

to then have my 32 week scan and from it to go from a full previa to a low lying but still not in safe margins yet, and at 36 weeks it will decided if I can have a natural or if we need a c section

has anyone been in a similar boat, as I’m struggling with being in limbo, if we are having a natural birth as it is our first I want to prepare myself which I’m unable to until the placenta has fully moved out of the way.
I fully understand that birth is never straight forward anyway
i just feel very much in limbo and for the last 12 weeks I’ve fully prepared myself to have a c section, to then have potential possibility of a natural birth

I just wondered if anyone else has been in a similar position and any advice

Yes was in the same boat as you in 2022! You have my sympathy it was a hard time anxiously waiting for the baby anyway and waitng for that too I found very tough at the time. My trust made a decision at 34 weeks it hadn’t moved enough and I was booked in for a section 36 weeks and 5 days and had a healthy baby girl. I had the same issue second time around too however this time it did move by the time I got to 32 weeks however I still chose to elect as I felt completely unprepared for a natural at that stage and this is my last baby. Wishing you all the best I know it’s a horrible time waiting but you will soon have your baby here x
