Pin prick sized spot of red blood on toilet paper

I found out I was pregnant almost 2 weeks ago now, I’m around 6 weeks and 3 days.
On Sunday 7th I noticed a tiny pin prick red spot after I went for a wee on the paper but nothing happened since, no cramps etc and everyone told me it was normal thing to happen. This morning the same thing had happened again, a tiny pin prick sized red mark on the toilet paper, again no cramps or anything and it’s not happened since.

Is this a normal thing that can happen?

It’s my first time being pregnant so this is all new to me, I have a private scan on Saturday aswell.

That might have just been a blemish on the toilet paper itself tbh, something from manufacturing

I had spotting until I was 9 weeks preg. Almost like my period was trying to start every month which was really odd. I’ve left it as it stopped and my 12 week scan was fine.

What type of blood was it – bright red? If so, given you said it was just the one tiny amount on a wipe, that sounds more like a potential external injury. It can happen during sex if it's not super lubricated (called a 'fissure', but basically a tiny graze).

If you're worried though, you can always call your GP and they will refer you to the early pregnancy unit (EPU) at the hospital, who can do a scan to check everything is okay.

A pin prick of blood is not something to worry over
