Hi all, I had a 3b tear 2 years ago.

just thinking ahead and if it ever happens that’s another matter.

if you got pregnant again after a third or fourth degree tear did you experience fecal incontinence during pregnancy? I’m so lucky to not have this currently and the thought of it puts me off.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I had a 3C tear and very long recovery, and didn't have this. The births were 3 years apart so the delay might have helped, not sure.

Do you mean as part of recovery? No, I didn't. When I was pregnant I had a consultant appointment to discuss birth options and they asked if I was having any incontinence symptoms but they didn't examine me. As I didn't have symptoms they said I could choose how I wanted to give birth and I felt like they weren't giving a recommendation of what was best. I chose C section then they said they would have made the same choice!
