I think I’ve read every possible thread on here about similar topics - so I’m not sure if I’m looking for anything more than reassurance.
I had a blindly positive test result on a Sainsburies pink dye early detection test on Saturday 6th September. This was with FMU, and the line appeared as soon as the liquid hit that part of the test. Pic attached.
Since then (5 days total) I’ve taken another 2 of those, cheapie strips, and a Savers early detection test. All are BFN. Some with FMU, some in the evening, tests ranging in sensitivities from early detection to standard ones.
I have PCOS, so pregnancy tests aren’t new to me as I’m so irregular, and I’ve never had anything close to the positive I saw on Saturday.
I have “PMS” symptoms - sore nipples, tiredness etc, and I’ve felt the odd cramp and twinge.
Last had sex 2.5 weeks ago, last period ended 11th July (a while ago but not totally wild for my PCOS).
There is every chance I’ll come on in the next week or so and I can forget about this, but I know false positives are rare, especially on pink dye tests. I’ve also read a lot about chemical pregnancies too, but I’m surprised my tests would go negative the next day.
Maybe I just had a dud test?! I’m not trying for a baby, it’s more that I’d just really like to know. Watched a new article of a phantom pregnancy the other day and it spooked me hahah.
