Progesterone pessary mishap

hi ladies, I’m 5 weeks pregnant and taking progesterone pessaries - one in the morning and one at night. This morning I noticed a large chunk of it in the toilet and im a bit worried about what that means - should I call my doctor or is it ok to miss a dose?

It just means that a bit didn't properly dissolve and fell out. Are you lying down for a bit after inserting? I used to insert mine quite deep, tuck it round the back of my cervix, then go back to bed for a cuppa and phone scrolling 😀

Edited to add: it wouldn't have occurred to me to call my doctor. Just carry on as normal.

@Flederjothank you for replying ❤️ I was in a rush this morning so probably didn’t lie down for long enough afterwards. I guess I’ll carry on and hope for the best!

They absorb pretty quickly so will most likely be the waxy residue. I inserted rectally as you don’t have to lay down afterwards .. I bought gloves and washed my hands!

@Sarah000000omg I’ve never put anything up my bum I’m not sure I could do that 😅 fingers crossed most of it got absorbed. Surely one missed dose won’t matter too much?

Hahahahha honestly, I just couldnt lay around for hours. I’m sure you will be fine and it’s just the waxy coating x
