Help c section mammas

I have been told I have a low lying placenta currently blocking my cervix. They’re not confident it will move but I won’t know for sure until I have my scan at 32 weeks. I’m coming up to 30 weeks now. I’m really worried as I keep seeing horror stories. Has anyone been through this?

I know it’s hard, but try not to worry as there’s literally nothing you can do. I had similar but mine moved. I eventually went on to have an emergency c section for an entirely different reason and actually it wasn’t that bad. Recovery can vary of course. I was like you but I can now see that a c section isn’t a “bad” option to be feared.

I haven’t had a c-section myself but it’s fair to say I was feeling fairly anxious about the possibility. I then had a friend tell me about her emergency c-section that was over in 6 minutes! For her the recovery was ok too.

it is a very routine operation, at my trust as many as 50% of births end with a section. You will be in safe hands!

Also, 2 women in my antenatal group had low lying placentas and they both moved! Good luck!
