5 months postpartum - am I pregnant?

I am 5 months postpartum, my periods haven’t returned yet but didn’t think much of it as I am breastfeeding. I noticed my appetite growing and I really started craving food, but again I put this down to breastfeeding.

However the past 3 days I have been feeling kicks constantly when I’m sat down doing nothing 😳. I have taken 2 different types of pregnancy tests today which are showing negative.

I’m planning to do a test in the morning but I just wanted to ask has anyone ever been around 3-4 months pregnant and tested negative? I’ve read it can he due to high levels of hCG that can spike the test and cause a false negative?

Im really starting to panic 😱

Have heard of people experiencing fantom kicks before so could be that. Have you used contraception because bf alone doesn’t always work? Also if you don’t mind me asking how quickly did you get pregnant previously? If was quick then obviously you may be more fertile than otherwise x

No stupidly I’ve not been taking any contraception, there’s 29 months between my eldest and youngest

I’m not sure the HCG spike causes false negatives, but the tests just may be a bit fainter. I’m 19 weeks and have just got this one….Also unlikely to feel kicks so soon. Panic over, but do get the contraceptives sorted 😉
