Constipation

I’m really struggling here with constipation. Currently 30+1 with twins. I’ve got lactulose but it doesn’t seem to be doing anything. I’m really trying to up my fluid intake (and struggling with that too, my belly doesn’t want anything else in it!), trying oranges and orange juice, but nothing.
Please, does anyone have any tried and tested methods that work quickly?!
I’ve also got some syrup of figs in the cupboard but I don’t know whether it is safe in pregnancy if anyone can advise please? It doesn’t say it’s not on the bottle but it doesn’t say it is either!

I don't know why this works for me but everytime I have Weetabix I manage to go!! I've tested it and on days I don't have it I don't so maybe worth a try if you haven't already?!

Do you drink coffee?
Bran flakes always helped me post partum
Rennie has a laxative effect
Are you putting your feet up on a stool when you sit on the loo, this position is supposed to help also.

Oh, you must be in agony. Try Movicol. You dissolve it in water. You may need several doses over a relatively short period of time. It helps to break down any blockages. Find yourself a late-night pharmacy if you can.

Movicol every single day
Plus glycerin suppository for when it's (sorry) hard and really backed up

Movical also worked for me for 'blockages'. Constipation lasted almost my whole pregnancy until the last month and suddenly the hormones worked it out.

You need to up your fibre intake. Maybe Try doing overnight weetabix with a yoghurt and a teaspoon of chia seeds added, that should get you going! Also kiwis are full of fibre too, Good luck!

I was exactly the same, from the moment I was pregnant all the way through 😵‍💫 feel bad for you! Warm water and lemon helped and apples!
